Magazine Art on Film (Sztuka ekranowana) made from 2007 by Przemysław Fik (Peter Fick) for TVP Kultura Cultural Channel of TVP S.A., discusses cultural phenomena of recent years and introduces outstanding artists to a broad audience. Therefore, it can be compared to a traditional cultural magazine, although it involves something more. Each episode has a rich stage design related to the raised mater. The final effect is more similar to a documentary than to a standard television programme.
Among 7 episodes the most significant are: Episode 4. which is dedicated to an accordion ensemble Motion Trio: Janusz Wojtarowicz, Marcin Gałażyn and Paweł Baranek. It is an original and extraordinary group in all respects.
Episode 5 is an exceptional event due to Leszek Możdżer – one of the most famous Polish pianists and composers. Irrespective of his young age he has already become almost an icon of modern piano music. We can observe preparations to one of musical spectacles and we get acquainted with members of Leszek Możdżer’s band, famous Dream Team: Lars Danielsson and Zohara Fresco.
Episode 6 presents the Krakow group Kroke Band. The band was founded in 1992. From the beginning the band is composed of: Tomasz Kukurba – viola, violin. flute, percussion, singing: Jerzy Bawol – accordion and Tomasz Lalo – double bass. Tomasz Grochot – percussion, has been performing with them as a guest since 2004. The name of the band Kroke in Yiddish means Krakow. The musicians perform regularly in Germany. Great Britain. France, and Israel as well as in Spain, Denmark and Sweden.
Episode 7 – Sebastian Kubica, dedicated to the young and already titled author of posters and graphic artist creates. He presented his works at many prestigious events in Poland and abroad. However, he finds inspiration in his home, in Łodygowice. He reveals places and stories important to him that has influenced his art.
